This piece of paper
is torn from something dark
and gravely wounded.
It is the mirror I hold up to the blackened sky.
A devious sacrifice.

For you

There are nights here when an ancient light rules this landscape
when Ions seem to carry its light as if it was their sole purpose.
Afternoons when all goes lucid
and you'd swear the landscape had shifted axis,
and that something humming had entered the light.

Every year, come harvest moon, these nights return
each one more set to impress me, or it seems.
molecules brimmed until silly
yet strangely serene,
like emissaries, solemnly waiting for something to flat-line and
carry them home.
If there is anything here to define my being, this could be it, but then I might have lost it altogether.
It's uncertain.

Nights like these it is difficult to steer clear of you,
you seem inseparable from the light
and I get confused.

Maybe I am too impressionable.
Maybe it is this flat land and its generous sky that sends me to you.
Or maybe, it is that these ancient myths are carried so deep within us all
that it would be stranger yet, did I not.

Ember, may I ask you if you would want to tell us something about this splendid poem?

Leaping from star to star
my eyes weave a constellation.
My thoughts in search of the endless motherload.

Love is here.
In the transparent
nakedness of our soul.
The invitation is always open.

Inside this light spiral,
come, dance with me.

That dance
transcends
the Self.

I'm sorry about your computer, ember. I'm not going to write about your poem, though I think it is the best post this forum has seen from the beginning. I like to quote the WingMakers poems. If I would want to quote from one of these poems somewhere later, can I? And then just with the name, Ember? Thank you for being with us. And I would love to hear about the moment they were written, anything is welcome of course.

The dream wanderer looks back at me.
Calls my name in a whispered voice.
Beckons me with an outstretched wing.

"Fly! Your favored dreams await you!"

The voice boomed like thunder swearing.
My wings trembled with forbidden power
as they searched the wind's current
for signs of release.

I thought only of the dream wanderer...
the holy wind that rekindles
my exquisite longing for raw truth.
To seize it like medicine
in a sleepless fever hoping to be healed.
The halcyon spire!
The dusty places of purity.

Sometimes it is difficult
when nobody can listen
and what is trusted
is not love, sometimes
I just must look and surrender.
When they all pass by me
for something golden spun from my heart
I know I am the ancestral father
come from your impressions
and the final trust from your heart.

A dark archway and
ten logs at the bottom paint
a picture of hearts

Combusted by the
mere thought of you I place my
heart of hearts upon

the palm of my hand
and offer it to you and you,
vestiges of wings.

The 'beast' and the 'beauty', in time, unite in love.
Only through love does the other cease to exist.
In wholeness, the fables and myths of the past,
become the reality.

Of winter sanctuary
I have found only you.
Though I wait for signals to draw me from the cold
into your fire
I know they will come
even though I fumble for my key.
Even though my heart is beheaded.
Even though I have only learned division.
I remember you
and the light above your door.

It will burn you at the start
As if to winds you were bare
Then fall deeply into your heart
Like a stone in the water's lair.

no offense ember, but I consider these poetry threads a demonstration of denial...while the entire world is experiencing an evolutionary step, with vast and unprecedented changes across the board, all you guys have to contribute to our awareness is nursery rhymes from your caves of disconnection.

the hiaku thread is pathetic enough, but now we have two self promotional threads...that relate to nothing, not to forget "ramblings". No doubt there are hundreds of websites that encourage poetry and would appreciate your museings...but this is the WMF ...where it is suggested we discuss the WMMs.

And you, my dearest friends,
who are truth -- who were all along,
will renew your devotion
to a powerful image in a distant mirror.
You will listen to these stories
and tear at your silent heart
with animal claws that are dulled
by the stone doors of time.
Where the unattested is confirmed
your vestige-soul is stored.
It will strengthen you
and cradle you in the light
of your own vision,
which will be hurled like lightening
through twilight's dull corridor.

Create your world and let it go forward
entrusted to the one that is all.
The leavening will prevail.
It is the lesson I learned
with my wings outstretched beneath
the glaring sky.
It is the rawness I seek
untouched by another's polish.

Your consciousness is faceted to express light into multiple systems of existence. There are many, many expressions that comprise your total Selfhood, and each expression is linked to the hub of consciousness that is your core identity. It is here that your ancient voice and eyes can multi-dimensionally observe, express, and experience. This is your food source for expansion and beautification. Place your attention upon your core identity and never release it. With every piece of information that passes your way, discern how it enables you to attune to this voice and perception. This is the only discipline you require. It is the remedy of limitation.

If you pass your rake over this emptiness
you will feel clumps of my spirit.
You will find me like tiny pieces of mirror broken
apart yet still collected in one spot.
Still staring ever skyward.
Still reflecting one mosaic image.
Still the accompanist of myself.

And sometimes, without even thinking,
I peek into these flames
when the smoke peels away for an instant.
There, behind the mask,
is my future.
Our future.
The future.
The present in another world.
Calling out for another mouth,
another hand,
another mind open.
