I can sense the chaos and how unsettled people are even though they can't quite put their finger on it. I'm doing this plus Event Temples. I find that the Event Temples keep me so aligned with my essence and I love giving what I can to help smooth this patch a bit for what the world is going through... The following is from the Global Coherence Initiative Project and its care rooms.

GCI March 2016 Care Focus - What We Can Do to Help

GCI March 2016 Full Moon Synchronized Care Focus

Note: Starting this month, we will use the same Care Focus until June because the subject will address the unpredictable changing energetics of this time period. The Care Focus will be recorded and posted in the Global Care Room, and we will send an email reminder to you before each full moon with the dates and times of the synchronized Care Focus.

Welcome to the Global Coherence Initiative’s March 23, 2016 Full Moon (12:05 GMT/UTC) synchronized Care Focus. In order for GCI members around the world to participate at a convenient time, we have chosen 4 a.m., 12:00 p.m. (noon), and 8 p.m. Pacific Time (GMT/UTC minus 7 hours) when GCI members in the Global Care Room can do the Care Focus together.* Thank you for being with us.

Increased consciousness is unfolding even while old world systems which no longer serve us are breaking down. The resulting chaos and disharmony will obviously continue for a while, until enough of us use the collective power of our hearts’ intentions to transform the planet through inclusive care, acceptance and cooperation. We increase the collective heart power to motivate positive change as we send love and compassion to help ease the chaos and reduce fear. This is one of the highest contributions we can make, other than becoming more responsible for our own energy management while increasing our heart-centered connections.

More people have to increasingly make hard choices about health, finances, relationships, survival, etc. Our choices are important, especially through these changing times, because our choices constantly create or disrupt our peace, happiness and self-security. Increasing our love and compassion raises our vibration for accessing our heart’s intuitive choices for better outcomes. It’s important to remember that we don’t have to wait for the whole planet to shift to make our personal shift into an uplifting and thriving experience. Being an example is what will lift the vibration of the whole. Living from our heart can quicken this process.

Care Focus: What We Can Do To Help

1. Sit for a few minutes and breathe consciously. On the in-breath, imagine breathing in divine love throughout your being. On the out-breath, radiate the feeling of gratitude. (Doing this raises our vibration and helps to bring heart, mind, emotions and body into coherent alignment and stillness. This creates an energetic conduit for love and guidance from the higher aspects of our true self and source.)

2. Now, radiate coherent love to help with the challenging choices that leaders and individuals have to make in these accelerated times.

3. Next, let’s radiate love and compassion to reduce the collective fear regarding current or future global stressors (such as the Zika virus spreading through the Americas, the presidential elections in the USA, threats of terrorism, North Korea saber-rattling, China placing missiles in disputed territory, and other global stressors that unfold).

4. With genuine feeling, let’s envision humanity becoming kinder, more caring, and cooperative with each other. (This is a good practice for doing each day whenever convenient.)

5. Let’s close by sending our deepest love and compassion to all who are suffering throughout the planet at this time.

Thank you for your care and ongoing participation in the GCI synchronized full moon Care Focus.

With Appreciation,
GCI Steering Committee and Staff

In these unsettling times this is just a reminder of how powerful we are. :? }

The Heart's Intuitive Intelligence: A path to personal, social and global coherence

The Spiritual Heart -- is in a way a little like a smart phone, invisibly connecting us to a large network of information. It is through an unseen energy that the heart emits that humans are profoundly connected to all living things. The energy of the heart literally links us to each other. Every person's heart contributes to a 'collective field environment.' This short video explains the importance of this connection and how we each add to this collective energy field. The energetic field of the heart even connects us with the earth itself.

The HeartMath Institute (http://www.heartmath.org) is helping provide a more comprehensive picture of this connection between all living things through a special science-based project called the Global Coherence Initiative (http:///www.heartmath.org/gci.) They hope to help explain the mysteries of this connection between people and the earth...and even the sun.

Scientists at the HeartMath Institute (HMI) have already conducted extensive research on the power of heart, the heart/brain connection, heart intelligence and practical intuition.

Whether personal relationships, social connections, or even the global community - we are all connected through a field of electromagnetic energy. Increasing individual awareness of what we bring to this field environment could be the key to creating a sustainable future, a future that we can be proud to have helped create. This is from 2012 but of course still applies. This is how it works when we have a global population in a Heart coherent state and its effects. Even if only a percentage achieve this consistently it effects the whole making it more easier for more people to create such a state within and maintain it and goes on from their until you have everyone eventually doing it despite what is being created to disrupt it. Remember that the more people that come into heart coherence the more disrupted are the people trying to create and maintain incoherence. So if it seems the world is going mad its because it is. The mad ones are the ones who are failing to maintain incoherence the scale they want too. That is why they are acting in even more insane ways. Still, send them forgiveness and compassion they really need it.

The Global Coherence Initiative: Creating a Coherent Planetary Standing Wave

Rollin McCraty, Ph.D.; Annette Deyhle, Ph.D. and Doc Childre

Abstract

The much anticipated year of 2012 is now here. Amidst the predictions and cosmic alignments that many are aware of, one thing is for sure: it will be an interesting and exciting year as the speed of change continues to increase, bringing both chaos and great opportunity. One benchmark of these times is a shift in many people from a paradigm of competition to one of greater cooperation. All across the planet, increasing numbers of people are practicing heart-based living, and more groups are forming activities that support positive change and creative solutions for manifesting a better world. The Global Coherence Initiative (GCI) is a science-based, co-creative project to unite people in heart-focused care and intention. GCI is working in concert with other initiatives to realize the increased power of collective intention and consciousness.

The convergence of several independent lines of evidence provides strong support for the existence of a global information field that connects all living systems and consciousness. Every cell in our bodies is bathed in an external and internal environment of fluctuating invisible magnetic forces that can affect virtually every cell and circuit in biological systems. Therefore, it should not be surprising that numerous physiological rhythms in humans and global collective behaviors are not only synchronized with solar and geomagnetic activity, but disruptions in these fields can create adverse effects on human health and behavior.

The most likely mechanism for explaining how solar and geomagnetic influences affect human health and behavior are a coupling between the human nervous system and resonating geomagnetic frequencies, called Schumann resonances, which occur in the earth-ionosphere resonant cavity and AlfvŽn waves. It is well established that these resonant frequencies directly overlap with those of the human brain and cardiovascular system. If all living systems are indeed interconnected and communicate with each other via biological, electromagnetic, and nonlocal fields, it stands to reason that humans can work together in a co-creative relationship to consciously increase the coherence in the global field environment, which in turn distributes this information to all living systems within the field.

GCI was established to help facilitate the shift in global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation, and enduring peace. A primary goal of GCI is to test the hypothesis that large numbers of people when in a heart-coherent state and holding a shared intention can encode information on the earth’s energetic and geomagnetic fields, which act as carrier waves of this physiologically patterned and relevant information. In order to conduct this research, a global network of 12 to 14 ultrasensitive magnetic field detectors specifically designed to measure the earth’s magnetic resonances is being installed strategically around the planet. More important is GCI’s primary goal to motivate as many people as possible to work together in a more coherent and collaborative manner to increase the collective human consciousness.

If we are persuaded that not only external fields of solar and cosmic origins but also human attention and emotion can directly affect the physical world and the mental and emotional states of others (consciousness), it broadens our view of what interconnectedness means and how it can be intentionally utilized to shape the future of the world we live in. It implies that our attitudes, emotions, and intentions matter and that coherent, cooperative intent can have positive effects.

GCI hypothesizes that when enough individuals and social groups increase their coherence baseline and utilize that increased coherence to intentionally create a more coherent standing reference wave in the global field, it will help increase global consciousness. This can be achieved when an increasing number of people move towards more balanced and self regulated emotions and responses. This in turn can help facilitate cooperation and collaboration in innovative problem solving and intuitive discernment for addressing society’s significant social, environmental, and economic problems. In time, as more individuals stabilize the global field and families, workplaces, and communities move to increased social coherence, it will lead to increased global coherence. This will be indicated by countries adopting a more coherent planetary view so that social and economic oppression, warfare, cultural intolerance, crime, and disregard for the environment can be addressed meaningfully and successfully.

Tree Research

Another part of our interconnectivity research is measuring the electrical activity of trees and, more generally, the ground. We have spent the past couple of years researching and developing reliable methods and equipment to measure tree potentials, and recently, we also began measuring ground potentials.

Trees have a surprisingly complex range of electrical activity and rhythms. They clearly have circadian rhythms and other slower rhythms as well as other activity that changes faster. They are coupled in part to electrical potentials that we see waxing and waning with the sun and moon’s gravitational pull on the earth.

We also will be conducting experiments to see if and how trees respond to human emotions, along the lines of what has been demonstrated with plants.

Another rather amazing observation has been that some of the longer-term trends in tree recordings seem to respond to the approach of earthquakes. NASA Ames scientist Friedemann Freund, with whom we are collaborating, has developed a theory that explains how rocks deep in the earth act as batteries when they are stressed by tectonic forces preceding earthquakes. The theory also explains how the electrical charge carriers that flow through the rocks appear to cause a response in the electrical activity of trees.

Amazingly, the tree potential changes occur well before the earthquakes actually happen. It may very well be that trees will end up playing the role of low-cost sensors that can help predict when larger earthquakes are about to occur.

With additional funding, we hope to be able to expand this line of research and set up a network of tree-monitoring sites and create a website that provides the public with live data from a grove of redwood tress with which they can try to interact energetically anytime they like.

This monograph is awesome! It gives a somewhat detailed explanation of the function of emotions and also reveals ground breaking research about how emotions enhance cognitive functioning when the mental and emotional are in sync with each other. It shows why coherence is so important.

Quote:
Heart-Brain Neurodynamics: The Making of Emotions

Emotions are...
the function where mind and body most closely
and mysteriously interact

—Ronald de Sousa, The Rationality of Emotion

As pervasive and vital as they are in human experience, emotions have long remained an enigma to science. This monograph explores recent scientific advances that clarify central controversies in the study of emotion, including the relationship between intellect and emotion, and the historical debate on the source of emotional experience. Particular attention is given to the intriguing body of research illuminating the critical role of ascending input from the body to the brain in the generation and perception of emotions. This discussion culminates in the presentation of a systems-oriented model of emotion in which the brain functions as a complex pattern-matching system, continually processing input from both the external and internal environments. From this perspective it is shown that the heart is a key component of the emotional system, thus providing a physiological basis for the long-acknowledged link between the heart and our emotional life.

The Mental and Emotional Systems

The relationship between mind and emotions has been deliberated at length throughout history, with most schools of thought drawing a boundary between them. Perception, appraisal, arousal, attention, memory, thinking, reasoning, and problem solving are often grouped together under the broader heading of cognition, or the mental system. The emotional system, on the other hand, encompasses feelings, which can span a range of intensity. The importance of gaining a deeper understanding of the emotional system has become increas-ingly recognized as an important scientific undertaking, as it has become clear that emotions underlie the majority of the stress we experience, influence our
decisions, provide the motivation for our actions, and create the textures that determine our quality of life. In recent years, the concept of “emotional "intelli-gence” has emerged, claiming that emotional maturity is as important as are
mental abilities in both personal and professional spheres, and that emotional competencies often out-weigh the cognitive in determining success.

The tendency to view emotions as operating separately and apart from rational or intellectual capacities dates back to the times of the ancient Greeks. Thus, historically, thinking and feeling—or intellect and emotion—have often been portrayed as opposing forces engaged in an incessant battle for control over the human psyche. Plato maintained that strong emotions made it impos-sible for him to think and described emotions as wild horses that had to be reined in by the intellect, while Christian theology has traditionally regarded many emotions as sins and temptations to be overcome by reason and will-power. Traditionally, the intellect was held in high regard, while emotions were considered “irrational” and received little recognition. However, a modern-day examination of emotions presents us with an entirely new perspective, providing a more comprehensive understanding of the emotional system and illuminating the critical roles that emotions play in human experience, performance, and rationality.
Most contemporary researchers agree that cognition and emotion are distinct functions mediated by separate but interconnecting neural systems. A number of research centers, rather than studying these systems in isolation,
are attempting to understand the essential dynamic interactions that occur between them. From a neuroscience perspective, several intriguing forms of interaction have been discovered that link the cognitive centers with the emotional processing areas of the brain. For example, bidirectional neural connections that exist between the frontal cortex and the amygdala permit emotion-related input from the amygdala to modulate cortical activity and cognitive input from the cortex to modulate the amygdala’s emotional information processing.

Beyond these hard-wired neural connections, biochemical bridges also link key components of the mental and emotional systems. The cortex, for instance, has been found to contain a high density of receptors for many neuropeptides
that are also heavily concentrated in the brain’s subcortical areas, which are associated with emotional processing.

Evidence suggests, moreover, that communication channels linking the mental and emotional systems are essential for
the expression of our full range of mental capacities...

I find this very very significant and interesting since most of us were taught that thought is central and superior...

Quote:
...it is important to realize that many common emotion regulation strategies operate on the assumption that all emotions follow thought, and thus by changing one’s thoughts, one should be able to gain control over one’s emotions. However, in the last decade, research in neuroscience has made it quite clear that emotional processes operate at a much higher speed than thoughts, and frequently bypass the mind’s linear reasoning process entirely.

In other words, emotions do not always follow thought; in many cases, in fact, emotions occur independently of the cognitive system and can significantly bias or color the cognitive process and its output or decision.
