IMO this is way tooooo important to just put into the NEWS section ... it is REVOLUTIONARY ... and deserves its own topic ... controversial as it is, I doubt that any of you will contribute anything to this topic until you get sick and then you will be looking for it ... to cure your cancer, your cronic pain and well, EVERY DISEASE KNOWN TO MAN ... so far they haven't found anything that MMJ won't cure ...

here's the vid ... I know how you hate to read ... this could very well save your life, or the life of someone you love ... after you get over being angry at the conspiracy that concealed this information from you ... and made it impossible ILLEGAL for you to heal yourself, with a free - natural product.

Quote:
Released 2008 - After a serious head injury in 1997, Rick Simpson sought relief from his medical condition through the use of medicinal hemp oil. When Rick discovered that the hemp oil (with its high concentration of T.H.C.) cured cancers and other illnesses, he tried to share it with as many people as he could free of charge, curing and controlling literally hundreds of people's illnesses... but when the story went public, the long arm of the law snatched the medicine -- leaving potentially thousands of people without their cancer treatments -- and leaving Rick with unconsitutional charges of possessing and trafficking marijuana!
Canada is in the middle of a CANCER EPIDEMIC! Meet the people who were not allowed to testify on Rick's behalf at the Supreme Court of Canada's Infamous Rick Simpson Trial on September 10, 2007... INCLUDING A MAN WHO WAS CURED OF TERMINAL CANCER USING HEMP OIL!

Rick was GIVING (FREE) this oil to anyone who would try it ... by now thousands have used MMJ to cure their cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc etc etc - with NO side effects, no Doctors needed and no other treatment.

there is NO REASON for anyone to die of any "dis-ease" or to go into bankruptcy for a "cure" that doesn't work, when Nature/Earth provides the "cure-all" in a weed that will grow ten feet tall, anywhere in the world...the cure Nature provides - healed in TWO WEEKS !

still skeptical? ... there are dozens of vids on the pages I provided in my you-tube links - educate your self - heal your SELF and "transfer this knowledge" to everyone you know... and shut the Pharm Cos and the Med Industry DOWN for good ... forever.

here's a series of MSNews clips - claiming MMJ can reverse brain damage (MS) as well as cure cancer -

just another bit of validation that the Age of Transparency is here ... when you consider how many people have died from cancer, since 1975 when the ACI did their own research and found out MMJ cures cancer - and kept it silent - then you will understand the depths the Elite will stoop to, to further their "depopulation" agenda

How fortunate we are to be living in a age, when all diseases are curable - and everyone can grow it for free

Visualize a world without drugs ! and make it a part of your reality

May work for some...belief in the cure plays a big part in how effective it is.

Having at one time worked in the medical cannabis field (literally  ), I have great admiration for the gentle power of this medicine. I don't have a medical need for it, but if I did, I would definitely use it.

I wish it could have worked for Terence McKenna, a great advocate of marijuana, mushrooms, etc. who died at age 53 of brain cancer. But I'm pretty sure his consciousness is still around, in some form, exploring the multiverse.

I have plenty of reasons to believe that Terrence's cancer was man-made ... but that's another tale ... I am still blown away by the idea that - so far, they haven't found anything that Cannibis won't cure ... I keep getting flashes of Pharmacies with only one medicine for sale ... for those to lazy to grow their own

I've been smoking pot off an on since the sixties ... what was my alternative to all the stress (that they created) Valium? - gee thanks but no thanks, I had kids to raise and a life to live ... pot always took the edge off of things, and for me it was always motivational.

My life style currently, demands that I participate in a lot of physical activities daily (aka: chores) which I see as "mandatory exercise" ... I have been building muscle back this past year, and I'd guestimate that I get in about three hours of heavy breathing a day but I'm old now, so I have to pace myself ...I'm just so grateful that he chemtrailers are spraying at night now ... I wait til the sun burns it off or the wind blows it away before I go out into "the fresh air" for a work out ... some days though, you just have to wear a filter ... or stay in - its not fair that my livestock has to breath that stuff too ... but I notice that they stay in too

so everyone in the US has some sort of sinus condition from a decade of steady spraying - and according to some reports (lately) the ParmCos are really taking advantage of the fact that we are all taking OTCmeds - so we can breathe - and they are lacing them with all sorts of psychotropics ... keep in mind that a million individuals have wires growing out of their skin, from a spraying experiment gone wild ... google morgellons - (even in this forum) "They" whomever it is in control of that technology ... my best guess the Jesuits ... were trying to plant nanos in the unsuspecting population ... and apparently, where ever they landed on a human - it started producing wire (replicating strings of it) - no one is held accountable ... we just need to be aware that they can put anything in those canisters to spray on the public, and drones can administer these mystery gasses on more specific targets with our govern-ments blessings.

but muscles don't compensate for what LD did to my joints ... they just make more work possible HA ... and more painful ... pot doesn't mask the pain ... it just takes the edges off to the point where it is acceptable - and the jacuzzi does the rest - but the effects of the treatment is what I am hoping Hemp oil will repair ... and after watching his vid, I am even more convinced that it will help. I am cooking down a batch as we speak and will be sure to let you know ... because if this is true - it certainly will have a major major effect on the Medical industry - they will be reduced to setting bones and plastic surgery LOL

Hemp Oil Dosage Information - Written by Rick Simpson

the MMJ biz has brought Colorado out of the hole and their "barter a joint for a canned food item" - keeps the Colorado food banks full - there must be fifty "clinics" in CS that keep our residents supplied with their "medicine" - I have no idea what a state license to open a shop costs, but I heard that it is in the hundreds of thousands and there are clinics all over this state ... cracks me up because if you have a Food Stamp card, it will pay for your RXs for pot - the state does really well collecting $100 per individual license - course it has all our Mormon's angel panties in a bunch but - the pot smokers are the silent majority here

This is incredible news, I've always known that Hemp is a POWERFUL plant!

(George Bush parachute in WWII was made of HEMP!)

I have great respect for Marijuana.

once again it proves its potential!

correct me if Im wrong, but didn't marijuana become illegal because of "Niggers and mexicans" - "raping the white women, under the influence of cannabis" . . . something like this.... so silly, so ignorant. Prohibition doesn't work.

But of course we are playing by the rules/laws of the Rothschild. . .

I am proud to announce that the state of Colorado, (where I live) has decriminalize Cannabis ... the first place in THE WORLD to do so! No doubt it will be seen by the PharmCos as a wrench in their cogs when more people start using it and discover its medicinal properties ... not to forget its ability to combat depression and get the general population off of psychotropics - I am sure that they will force the gov to challenge this constitutional amendment of the people of Colorado ... but the way I see it, we are the first domino to fall

I did make a batch of the "Phoenix's tears" and experienced amazing results ... simply amazing ... I am finding it hard to believe (myself!) After one dose ... I got immediate results ... I quit after two days just to see if I wasn't being psycho sematic (snicker) but how could I be, I wasn't expecting any results for two weeks haha - the symptoms have not returned ... all that suffering could have been avoided... omg

anyway, after a week (with no meds), none of the symptoms that I have been experiencing (almost every other day since 05) returned ... how is that possible ... soooo I have a few more "health" issues and decided to continue my "treatments" to see if MMJ in this pure state (which does not get you "high") will heal up these issues too ... and intend on self-medicating for the full two weeks, just to detoxify and get rid of any potential "dis-ease" that may be lurking in my body (waiting for my immune system to weaken ) Who knows, it may even reduce the effect of FUshima - and spare us the genetic mutations it will undoubtedly cause (is causing)

here's the local news ... I am soooooo proud of this State, and of the people who live here ... does this mean no more piss tests to get a job ....

Wow, great news for you on both fronts (personal and political).

I'm glad your symptoms have gone, and wouldn't you say being symptom-free is a "high"?

"Rocky Mountain High in Colorado"...has a nice ring to it.

(John Denver, for those of you old enough to remember.)

yes, I must agree, being symptom free is a "high" ... if this means I can skip all the public toilets on my trips to town - think of all the time I will save too

take a break, because as you can see, this is a long post - intended to share with you my "personal experience" and findings ... from this point on

I started "treatments" on Monday again ... I've discovered that you can take too much - I figured that I had built up an immunity (smoking and juicing it for the past year) but when I took what Terrance would call a heroic dose (a ball about the size of a bb) it gave me a dull headache ... Rick says "half a grain of rice" and when I reduced the dose, I didn't get the headache (I only take it once a day) ... I took it one morning, before breakfast and it gave me a rush of nausea - so I take it with food now ... other than that - it has no "side-effect" that I am aware of ... other than it also seems to take my hunger away ... I find that odd, because when you smoke it, you get high and hungry ...

Not to brag - but the pot I grow indoors isn't just "dusty" when I harvest ... the buds are white and just sticky with THC even after they are dried (the bottom of my grinder is packed with "dust") ... I have been disappointed, in the past growing clones ... they rarely get more than four feet tall (must be grown indoors) and you are lucky to get an oz of (dried) bud per plant ... so this spring I grew some plants from seed ... I should show you pics, because it was really hard for me to believe - but the seeds grew ten foot tall and so did one of the clones (in the green house with full natural light) ... the stems were as big around as my wrist ... I had to lean them over to keep them from smashing into my slanted roof ... and their buds (just now forming on the seed plants are as big as my fore-arm ... I guestimate that I will get a pound of bud from each of them - unfortuantely one of them (the biggest, of course) - perhaps sensing the "need" - turned male - I had already harvested the clones (10oz), but when I pulled that big boy out, it dusted both plants on either side ... but it didn't seem to effect the developing buds ... which each produced a few seeds on the very bottom, but continued to grow and are excreting THC in great abundance above the fertilized seeds ...win/win

These were "mysteryseeds" from years gone buy that I happened to find in the move ... so I have no idea what "strain" they are, but I had a professional grower look at them - and not only did he pronounce them Sativa, but also all female (most likely a strain of Columbian (red stems on "water leaves") - three days later the tallest one (sensing the need) changed sex (an ability unique to Cannibis) ... and because I just couldn't believe it - I waited til the first flower bloomed before I pulled that giant up ... but its all good - because with the new laws, I may be able to grow outdoors next year, and now I have all the seeds I need ... not to mention bags and bags of leaf to juice in my freezer.

I probably won't be juicing them anymore ... its not a bad taste (very inviting as a tea hot or cold), but it isn't good either (too green) but I hate to just toss them because most of the pot I smoked in my youth was leaf ... leaves didn't become "trash" until the late 80's ... and that's when the prices really soared ... from $10 an oz (lid-in the '60s) to $200 for an oz ... and why I didn't smoke pot for more than 20 years ... (that and being a Mormon - snicker) But "they" justify the price, because "leaf" only give you .04% THC and the bud, I was just recently told (at a clinic) can be as much as 14.0% THC ... and why "oil" made from leaves are very mild ... even though it is the preferred method of "treatment" for a lot of people using MMJ - it isn't the "super cure" Rick has discovered.

It was when my Dr (a specialist) ODed me on SUPER antibiotics to the point where my entire body was "septic" (yeast) that I said NO MORE and started researching alternative cures ... the last thing that she suggested, was that I have all the mercury fillings in my mouth removed - when the "natural" herbs that she also sold, didn't work - that I resorted to pot and quit going to drs ... not because I believed it would cure me ... but because it would make living in a wheel chair tolerable ... $300 for an oz of pot that would last me three months was cheap compared to the $1500 a month I was paying for her pharmco treatments and lab tests - not including the $300 a visit I paid her (no insurance- self-employed) every two weeks for consultation with her Nurse Practitioners (3 out of 4 visits) ... but trying to buy pot when you don't associate with "stoners" is not fun ... and why I have always grown my own ... and not had to deal with the mafia (or their fees) ... I needed seed, but none of the pot has seeds anymore ... its all sterile bud ... so no more growing-

When MMJ clinics opened in CO (two years after I got here) , that changed everything... I had no problem getting a prescription to grow my own, and purchase "eatables" at the clinics with my "history" of LD ( even though I do not have lymies anymore, they did some permanent damage to my joints) and the Dr was very familiar with the effects of "aggressive antibiotic treatments" on my gut... and he agreed that pot would be the best way to deal with these permanent conditions... not only do the clinics offer about 30 "strains" (inica and sativa) but they also sell clones and seeds ... it has been my experience that it takes about twenty seeds to get a plant ... and they charged by the gram, but for $15 you can get a healthy clone (clipping) that is guaranteed female - so that's what I have been growing, three clones, twice a year ... so for $50 (every six months) you get enough pot from the clones to keep you medicated ... I smoke one fatty a day of sativa, after exercise ... I don't consider myself a "pot-head" and I was still looking for the "cure" when I came across Rick's vid ... I had started jucing after watching other vids that claimed cures, surfaced and was getting some relief but nothing like what I was looking for ... until Rick introduced me to "the oil"

so you may appreciate how excited I got when the first dose of it had an immediate effect on my poor ole bowels ... heh heh, I thought I was hallucinating ... I guess I should tell you too, what makes my case so "special" is I am one of those people who is "sensitive" of everything I eat ... and I can tell you exactly where, in my body, the last meal is ... I never knew that everyone else didn't have this "awareness" until I got married, and my husband though I was weird because of it ... what-ever, I have met several people who also have this sensitivity --- i just ignored it most of the time, because I have always had a super immune system and rarely got ill.
I also knew that antibiotics gave me a yeast infection every time I was prescribe them so I never took them for the full ten days and tapered off after three days for two more days (that's all my body needs)... ... I was surprised that the Super Antibiotics didn't have the same effect on my system but I assumed they were busy killing lymies, and figured the industry had come up with some way around that effect ... when I started complaining of inflammation in my bowels (which for sensitive me was as bad as the joint pain) ... I was prescribed ass-hole-dofulous tabs and greek yogurt ... after a year an a half of "treatments" the over abundant yeast went into the blood stream ... and into all my major organs (more pain) - my next blood text proved my entire system had become "septic" and she was still prescribing antibiotics ... that's when I quit ...

I only went to the Med Industry for a cure because I had discovered (on-line) that LD (along with a list of other "new" diseases[crons, lupus, barrepstine, fibermyalgia, MS, etc etc etc) was MAN made - and that meant (to me) that the cure would be man-made ...most people get LD for two weeks, go to the dr and he prescribes them a veterinarian grade antibiotic for two weeks and they get over it ... because I have such a high tolerance for pain, I ignored the symptoms for eight months ... and because the testing process is 80% false neg I had to waste three more months, with 3 drs who didn't believe me, when I told them "I saw the bull's eye" and who mis diagnosed me and prescribed pain pill and muscle relaxants ... omg, just go to sleep while the Lymies eat you alive ... I don't DO "pain pills"

I finally found a specialist who diagnosed me correctly ... but she insisted that I crash my own immune system (which was causing all the swelling/pain) before she would give me the antibiotics I knew would "cure" me - what choice did I have ? ... by then, the buggers had been in my system for ten months ... and building cyst cities in my major joints ... when they "multiplied" in cycles (much like fleas only quicker)... and all the new babies hatched, it was called a "flare" ... for me - this happened every ten days ... and lasted for four days ... and during that time I was "paralyzed by pain" - and this went on for a year and a half before I said "i quit" (much to the relief of my dr who didn't even call to ask why I didn't show up for my last apt - they hate to loose)

I know you may find it hard to believe, but it was the frequencies in the mantra's of the Hakomi music that actually cured me ... and got me out of the wheel chair. They were the only thing, after I ceased all treatments, that stopped the pain ... to my amazement the flares slowed in direct proportion to how much I listened to the music ... way down and weren't nearly as intense ... when I went to the dentist (three months later) to get all the metal taken out of my mouth ... he asked me what antibiotic I preferred (that was a first) I told him the name of the antibiotic listed on-line as "the cure" for LD (that I suggested my dr prescribe but she never did)... doxycycline or something close ... I hesitated taking any more antis but figured that after the supers - it really couldn't do anymore damage and the dentist wouldn't touch me without them (state law or something)... he said that he never heard of it, but prescribed it anyway ... and I took them for about five days ... I never had another flare after that ... I listened to the music for about three more months - until there was no more pain to soothe because all the swelling went away ... believe what you will, I believe that frequencies in the mantras are "medicinal" - I am convinced of it.

but sad to say that wasn't the end of it ... the LD was gone but so was the cartridge in all my joints - I could walk but it was bone on bone - "con-joint-trin" can only do so much ... and I soon discovered, that my gut would never be the same either - pro-biotics can only do so much too ... and I've been living in that "state of being" for the past five years ... trying one superfood, mineral supplement, ormus - thing after another trying to make it more tolerable ... pot is the only thing I have tried that lets me ignore it (most of the time) ... and if the oil turns out to be "the cure" ... I will be shouting its praises and become its biggest advocate ... if it can put the flora back in my digestive system ... when organic food, well water and supplements couldn't - with the first dose... I am a zealous believer already !

OF COURSE - Nature would provide the cure to all dis-ease (duh me)...

this programed reaction the GM has to "natural cures" reminds me of that story in the bible where the "children" of Moses were attack by "firey serpents" while wandering in the desert ... they were told to look up at a cross, (that were planted through-out the community) as soon as they were bitten, and it would save them ... those who didn't "believe" that the symbol was that powerful and refused to look - died of snakebite ... we are still looking UP to that cross with the intertwined snakes - that symbol of the Medical Industry to save us ... (they must have added the wings to make it look less like a religious symbol - snicker)

...........................Image

this is how Anu brain-washed the world into believing Pharm-craft will "save you"

Spain Study Confirms Cannabis Oil Cures Cancer (Reloaded)

The medical science is strongly in favor of THC laden hemp oil as a primary cancer therapy, not just in a supportive role to control the side effects of chemotherapy.

The International Medical Verities Association is putting hemp oil on its cancer protocol. It is a prioritized protocol list whose top five items are magnesium chloride, iodine, selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid and sodium bicarbonate. It makes perfect sense to drop hemp oil right into the middle of this nutritional crossfire of anti cancer medicines, which are all available without prescription.

Hemp oil has long been recognized as one of the most versatile and beneficial substances known to man. Derived from hemp seeds (a member of the achene family of fruits) it has been regarded as a superfood due to its high essential fatty acid content and the unique ratio of omega3 to omega6 and gamma linolenic acid (GLA) – 2:5:1.

Hemp oil, is known to contain up to 5% of pure GLA, a much higher concentration than any other plant, even higher than spirulina. For thousands of years, the hemp plant has been used in elixirs and medicinal teas because of its healing properties and now medical science is zeroing in on the properties of its active substances.

Both the commercial legal type of hemp oil and the illegal THC laden hemp oil are one of the most power-packed protein sources available in the plant kingdom. Its oil can be used in many nutritional and trans-dermal applications. In other chapters in my Winning the War on Cancer book we will discuss in-depth about GLA and cancer and also the interesting work of Dr. Johanna Budwig. She uses flax seed oil instead of hemp oil to cure cancer – through effecting changes in cell walls – using these omega3 and omega6 laden medicinal oils.

Actually there is another way to use medical marijuana without smoking the leaf. According to Dr. Tod H. Mikuriya, “The usual irritating and toxic breakdown products of burning utilized with smoking are totally avoided with vaporization. Extraction and inhaling cannabinoid essential oils below ignition temperature of both crude and refined cannabis products affords significant mitigation of irritation to the oral cavity, and tracheobronchial tree from pyrollytic breakdown products.[iii]

Dr. Mikuriya continues saying “The usual irritating and toxic breakdown products of burning utilized with smoking are totally avoided with vaporization. Extraction and inhaling cannabinoid essential oils below ignition temperature of both crude and refined cannabis products affords significant mitigation of irritation to the oral cavity, and tracheobronchial tree from pyrollytic breakdown products.”[iv]

Rick Simpson, the man in the above mentioned videos, has been making hemp oil and sharing it with friends and neighbors without charging for it. In small doses, he says, it makes you well without getting you high. “Well you can’t deny your own eyes can you?” Simpson asks. “Here’s someone dying of cancer and they’re not dying anymore. I don’t care if the medicine comes from a tomato plant, potato plant or a hemp plant, if the medicine is safe and helps and works, why not use it?” he asks.

When a person has cancer and is dying this question reaches a critical point. The bravery of Rick Simpson from Canada in showing us how to make hemp oil for ourselves offers many people a hope that should be increasingly appreciated as money dries up for expensive cancer treatments. We are going to need inexpensive medicines in the future and there is nothing better than the ones we can make reasonably cheaply ourselves.

For most people in the world it is illegal so the choice could come down to breaking the law or dying. There is no research to indicate what advantages oral use of hemp oil vs. vaporization but we can assume that advantage would be nutritional with oral intake. Dr. Budwig Below work would sustain this point of view especially for cancer patients.

The Science

According to Dr. Robert Ramer and Dr. Burkhard Hinz of the University of Rostock in Germany medical marijuana can be an effective treatment for cancer.[v] Their research was published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute Advance Access on December 25th of 2007 in a paper entitled Inhibition of Cancer Cell Invasion by Cannabinoids via Increased Expression of Tissue Inhibitor of Matrix Metalloproteinases-1.

The biggest contribution of this breakthrough discovery, is that the expression of TIMP-1 was shown to be stimulated by cannabinoid receptor activation and to mediate the anti-invasive effect of cannabinoids. Prior to now the cellular mechanisms underlying this effect were unclear and the relevance of the findings to the behavior of tumor cells in vivo remains to be determined.

Marijuana cuts lung cancer tumor growth in half, a 2007 Harvard Medical School study shows. The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies.

This is the first set of experiments to show that the compound, Delta-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), inhibits EGF-induced growth and migration in epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expressing non-small cell lung cancer cell lines. Lung cancers that over-express EGFR are usually highly aggressive and resistant to chemotherapy. THC that targets cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 is similar in function to endocannabinoids, which are cannabinoids that are naturally produced in the body and activate these receptors.

“The beauty of this study is that we are showing that a substance of abuse, if used prudently, may offer a new road to therapy against lung cancer,” said Anju Preet, Ph.D., a researcher in the Division of Experimental Medicine. Acting through cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, endocannabinoids (as well as THC) are thought to play a role in variety of biological functions, including pain and anxiety control, and inflammation.

Why I changed my mind on weed
By Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent

updated 2:39 PM EDT, Thu August 8, 2013
Watch Dr. Sanjay Gupta's groundbreaking documentary "WEED" at 8 p.m. ET August 11 on CNN.

(CNN) -- Over the last year, I have been working on a new documentary called "Weed." The title "Weed" may sound cavalier, but the content is not.

I traveled around the world to interview medical leaders, experts, growers and patients. I spoke candidly to them, asking tough questions. What I found was stunning.

Long before I began this project, I had steadily reviewed the scientific literature on medical marijuana from the United States and thought it was fairly unimpressive. Reading these papers five years ago, it was hard to make a case for medicinal marijuana. I even wrote about this in a TIME magazine article, back in 2009, titled "Why I would Vote No on Pot."

Well, I am here to apologize.

I apologize because I didn't look hard enough, until now. I didn't look far enough. I didn't review papers from smaller labs in other countries doing some remarkable research, and I was too dismissive of the loud chorus of legitimate patients whose symptoms improved on cannabis.

Instead, I lumped them with the high-visibility malingerers, just looking to get high. I mistakenly believed the Drug Enforcement Agency listed marijuana as a schedule 1 substance because of sound scientific proof. Surely, they must have quality reasoning as to why marijuana is in the category of the most dangerous drugs that have "no accepted medicinal use and a high potential for abuse."
Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a neurosurgeon and CNN\'s chief medical correspondent.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a neurosurgeon and CNN's chief medical correspondent.

They didn't have the science to support that claim, and I now know that when it comes to marijuana neither of those things are true. It doesn't have a high potential for abuse, and there are very legitimate medical applications. In fact, sometimes marijuana is the only thing that works. Take the case of Charlotte Figi, who I met in Colorado. She started having seizures soon after birth. By age 3, she was having 300 a week, despite being on seven different medications. Medical marijuana has calmed her brain, limiting her seizures to 2 or 3 per month.

I have seen more patients like Charlotte first hand, spent time with them and come to the realization that it is irresponsible not to provide the best care we can as a medical community, care that could involve marijuana.

We have been terribly and systematically misled for nearly 70 years in the United States, and I apologize for my own role in that.
Medical facts of Marijuana
WEED: A Dr. Sanjay Gupta Special

I hope this article and upcoming documentary will help set the record straight.

On August 14, 1970, the Assistant Secretary of Health, Dr. Roger O. Egeberg wrote a letter recommending the plant, marijuana, be classified as a schedule 1 substance, and it has remained that way for nearly 45 years. My research started with a careful reading of that decades old letter. What I found was unsettling. Egeberg had carefully chosen his words:

"Since there is still a considerable void in our knowledge of the plant and effects of the active drug contained in it, our recommendation is that marijuana be retained within schedule 1 at least until the completion of certain studies now underway to resolve the issue."

Not because of sound science, but because of its absence, marijuana was classified as a schedule 1 substance. Again, the year was 1970. Egeberg mentions studies that are underway, but many were never completed. As my investigation continued, however, I realized Egeberg did in fact have important research already available to him, some of it from more than 25 years earlier.

High risk of abuse

In 1944, New York Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia commissioned research to be performed by the New York Academy of Science. Among their conclusions: they found marijuana did not lead to significant addiction in the medical sense of the word. They also did not find any evidence marijuana led to morphine, heroin or cocaine addiction.

We now know that while estimates vary, marijuana leads to dependence in around 9 to 10% of its adult users. By comparison, cocaine, a schedule 2 substance "with less abuse potential than schedule 1 drugs" hooks 20% of those who use it. Around 25% of heroin users become addicted.

The worst is tobacco, where the number is closer to 30% of smokers, many of whom go on to die because of their addiction.

There is clear evidence that in some people marijuana use can lead to withdrawal symptoms, including insomnia, anxiety and nausea. Even considering this, it is hard to make a case that it has a high potential for abuse. The physical symptoms of marijuana addiction are nothing like those of the other drugs I've mentioned. I have seen the withdrawal from alcohol, and it can be life threatening.

I do want to mention a concern that I think about as a father. Young, developing brains are likely more susceptible to harm from marijuana than adult brains. Some recent studies suggest that regular use in teenage years leads to a permanent decrease in IQ. Other research hints at a possible heightened risk of developing psychosis.

Much in the same way I wouldn't let my own children drink alcohol, I wouldn't permit marijuana until they are adults. If they are adamant about trying marijuana, I will urge them to wait until they're in their mid-20s when their brains are fully developed.

Medical benefit

While investigating, I realized something else quite important. Medical marijuana is not new, and the medical community has been writing about it for a long time. There were in fact hundreds of journal articles, mostly documenting the benefits. Most of those papers, however, were written between the years 1840 and 1930. The papers described the use of medical marijuana to treat "neuralgia, convulsive disorders, emaciation," among other things.

A search through the U.S. National Library of Medicine this past year pulled up nearly 20,000 more recent papers. But the majority were research into the harm of marijuana, such as "Bad trip due to anticholinergic effect of cannabis," or "Cannabis induced pancreatitits" and "Marijuana use and risk of lung cancer."

In my quick running of the numbers, I calculated about 6% of the current U.S. marijuana studies investigate the benefits of medical marijuana. The rest are designed to investigate harm. That imbalance paints a highly distorted picture.

The challenges of marijuana research

To do studies on marijuana in the United States today, you need two important things.

First of all, you need marijuana. And marijuana is illegal. You see the problem. Scientists can get research marijuana from a special farm in Mississippi, which is astonishingly located in the middle of the Ole Miss campus, but it is challenging. When I visited this year, there was no marijuana being grown.

The second thing you need is approval, and the scientists I interviewed kept reminding me how tedious that can be. While a cancer study may first be evaluated by the National Cancer Institute, or a pain study may go through the National Institute for Neurological Disorders, there is one more approval required for marijuana: NIDA, the National Institute on Drug Abuse. It is an organization that has a core mission of studying drug abuse, as opposed to benefit.

Stuck in the middle are the legitimate patients who depend on marijuana as a medicine, oftentimes as their only good option.

Keep in mind that up until 1943, marijuana was part of the United States drug pharmacopeia. One of the conditions for which it was prescribed was neuropathic pain. It is a miserable pain that's tough to treat. My own patients have described it as "lancinating, burning and a barrage of pins and needles." While marijuana has long been documented to be effective for this awful pain, the most common medications prescribed today come from the poppy plant, including morphine, oxycodone and dilaudid.

Here is the problem. Most of these medications don't work very well for this kind of pain, and tolerance is a real problem.

Most frightening to me is that someone dies in the United States every 19 minutes from a prescription drug overdose, mostly accidental. Every 19 minutes. It is a horrifying statistic. As much as I searched, I could not find a documented case of death from marijuana overdose.

It is perhaps no surprise then that 76% of physicians recently surveyed said they would approve the use of marijuana to help ease a woman's pain from breast cancer.

When marijuana became a schedule 1 substance, there was a request to fill a "void in our knowledge." In the United States, that has been challenging because of the infrastructure surrounding the study of an illegal substance, with a drug abuse organization at the heart of the approval process. And yet, despite the hurdles, we have made considerable progress that continues today.

Looking forward, I am especially intrigued by studies like those in Spain and Israel looking at the anti-cancer effects of marijuana and its components. I'm intrigued by the neuro-protective study by Lev Meschoulam in Israel, and research in Israel and the United States on whether the drug might help alleviate symptoms of PTSD. I promise to do my part to help, genuinely and honestly, fill the remaining void in our knowledge.

Citizens in 20 states and the District of Columbia have now voted to approve marijuana for medical applications, and more states will be making that choice soon. As for Dr. Roger Egeberg, who wrote that letter in 1970, he passed away 16 years ago.

I wonder what he would think if he were alive today.

Cancer cells feed of of glucose. You can literally starve your cancer to death with the right ketogenic diet. One that is full of high quality organic vegetables, high quality free range poultry/grass fed beef. Our bodies have evolved or were possibly designed for optimum health and well being on a paleolithic diet. One that is full of natural plants, vegetables, nuts, clean meats. Our bodies naturally use saturated fats(animal fats, coconut oil, avacodos ) as energy, not processed carbs, starches and sugars. Since the beginning of the agricultural revolution society has seen a cancer epidemic, auto immune diseases, obesity, developmental disorders etc. Processed carbs, sugars and starches do nothing but harm the body and little by little they sow the seeds of ill health.

For me it's all about the right preventative measures, of course nature has a cure in many shades of green! 8)

Thanks for the article and heads up on the show tonight!!

Thank you for that reply Multiversal ... I agree with everything you said ... my daughter wanted to "du lunch" the other day, and I just can't eat restaurant food anymore ... I know its all "processed" - and I hate to sound like a snob but I've been noticing a grand difference in the way I feel now that I am eating natural food and I don't want to ruin what I have going on ... I imagine that it will take more than a few years to restore all the cells to optimal performance, but I am encouraged to do that by how good I feel ... but I know that I have a long way to go before I can declare myself - green

who knows, I may start milking next Spring - I've been buying imported dairy to avoid "aged" gmo (lol) but cheese isn't that hard to make. I don't know why I trust any of the milk products to really be "organic" but I talked to a few local dairy people and they said they have to jump through hoops to get the certification - so I keep hoping that they are really up to "standard" but it doesn't mean their cows weren't raised on "processed foods" and filled with "vaccines" .. I (finally) found the non gmo, feed for my livestock ... but it's really expensive ... I learned the hard way that the "chows" are full of bacteria But they need to get their protein from somewhere, because it doesn't come from weeds - we all need good food ... we're all but forced to by the alfalfa (to keep them warm in the winter - here) and the corn is in everything - it blows them right up - its bad stuff for animals and humans alike ... I grew a lot of hier-loom corn this year, and I plan on planting my own grass mix in the fall ... if we keep getting rain like this, I could grow all their feed ... but you just don't know what to expect - we got hail last Sat (again) - that really shreds a garden ... but I learned a thing or two last year that helped me "fortify" this year's garden ... its strange to me to have such a late growing season ... but anything is better than NO garden - all I need is one more month - and if it makes it til Oct that will be a bonus ... believe it or not, I still have peas blooming (maybe this batch will make it to the freezer)

Marijuana May Grow Neurons in the Brain

A synthetic cannabinoid -- similar to the compounds found in marijuana, but substantially stronger -- causes the growth of new neurons and reduces anxiety and depression, investigators at the University of Saskatchewan here reported.

Most so-called drugs of abuse -- such as alcohol or cocaine -- inhibit the growth of new neurons, according to Xia Zhang, M.D., Ph.D., of the University of Saskatchewan.
"Only marijuana promotes neurogenesis," Dr. Zhang said.
The finding -- reported in the current issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation -- does not involve smoked or ingested marijuana, but rather a synthetic compound dubbed HU-210, which Dr. Zhang said is 100 times as powerful as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound responsible for the highs experienced by recreational users.

It certainly shows that drugs that act on these cannabinoid receptors -- and that would include marijuana -- can have beneficial effects on brain and behaviour,"

what a great state I live in ... what great neighbors I have ... and our economy is SOARING - and has been ever since Cannabis was introduced "medicinally" ... the "clinics" turn the lights back on in Colorado Springs (Denver has the ABC boyz ), and then the fires created jobs for everyone, for the next two years - the Real Estate ind is going gang busters - at 90% of what it ever was people moving in - plenty of room and if TPTB would just let it rain here, til its all green again, that would be a bonus ...

anyway, isn't it stupid to put people in jail for smoking pot ? Its all about money right - well this gives the people of the state lots of money ... and now that it is legal/regulated, we can really research its medicinal values - and then who will care about Obama care

Faux News in Denver, is covering the story ...http://kdvr.com/2014/01/01/recreational-marijuana-stores-open-across-colorado/

wow, here is something that I was also not aware of ... Pot is a radiation defense as well :

Marijuana and Radiation Protection
http://www.naturalnews.com/032674_mariju...ation.html

NaturalNews) Marijuana offers strong protective qualities against radiation exposure. Since fewer and fewer people have the financial resources to continually purchase all the helpful things they will need perhaps growing weed in our backyard will offer the public one of the best anti-radiation solutions in the long run. Instead of it being just relaxing it might become very necessary to intake marijuana to increase ones defenses against radiation exposure. Might as well get your brownies ready but one has to be careful about radiation getting into everything, even your marijuana plants, which will actually thrive nicely in radioactive environments.

Dr. Ben Whalley, middle, with Dr. Gary Stephens and Dr. Claire Williams at their secret cannabis farm near London. These researchers have discovered that three compounds found in cannabis leaves can help to reduce and control seizures in epilepsy. Dr. Whalley, who is leading the research at the department of pharmacy at the University of Reading, said tests in animals had shown the marijuana compounds effective at preventing seizures and convulsions while also having fewer side effects than existing epilepsy drugs.

Cannabinoids, the active components of marijuana, inhibit
tumor growth in laboratory animals and also kill cancercells.
Their use in the case of childhood cancer is compassionate.

And lucky for us, cannabis is also an excellent treatment for radiation sickness and exposure.

Radiation Symptoms
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Weakness
- Red itchy skin
- Sore throat
- Hair loss
- Recurrent infections
- Bleeding
- Anemia

Benefits of Medical Marijuana
- Reduced Nausea
- Increased appetite
- Reduced vomiting
- Weight gain
- Sleeping aid

With all the radiation that is now entering our atmosphere, it is urgent that we now all start ingesting a list of natural medicinals to diminish our reactions to radioactive particles the damage this radiation will cause.

One of my favorite people, Rick Simpson, the man in Canada that has helped many cancer sufferers with THC-laden hemp oil, has a lot to say to people as we go into our increasingly irradiated future.

Simpson says:

"If used properly, high quality hemp oil can provide a solution that will be of help to mankind in alleviating the effects of increasing radiation. Through my experience with the use of this oil, I have found that there is nothing more effective or more harmless that can reduce the damage caused by radiation.

"I have seen patients suffering from cancer who were badly damaged by the effects of radiation treatments and who were able to completely eliminate the damage in a short time. Some who have come to me that had radiation treatments were burned so badly by its effects that their skin looked like red leather. After ingesting the oil treatment their skin went back to its normal healthy state and the radiation burns disappeared completely. If the oil can do this for someone that was badly damaged by such so-called medical treatments, would its use not be effective to combat the effects of the radiation now emanating from Japan? Now with the menace that all this escaping radiation presents, we would have to be insane to turn our backs on the use of hemp extracts to help us all deal with this situation."

Video prooving that cannabis can cure certain forms of cancer.

Marijuana cuts lung cancer tumor growth in half, a 2007
Harvard Medical School study shows. The active ingredient
in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half
and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread.

Scientific trials have for decades documented the anti-cancer properties of cannabis and its constituents. Yet it took until this week for the website of the National Institute of Cancer, a component of the U.S. government's National Institutes of Health, to finally acknowledge the herb's therapeutic utility for patients living with disease or suffering from the adverse side effects of cancer treatment.

In test-tube experiments, researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. exposed rat nerve cells to a toxin that is typically released during strokes. Cannabidiol reduces the extent of damage reported the National Academy of Sciences. More effective than vitamins C or E, strong antioxidants such as cannabidiol will neutralize free radicals and so might limit the damage and reduce the severity of radiation.

Hemp Oil Dosage Information
By Rick Simpson

It takes the average person about 90 days to ingest the full 60-gram treatment. I suggest that a person start with 3 doses per day about half the size of a grain of dry rice. A dose such as this would equal about 1/4 of a drop. After four days at this dosage, increase your doses every four days until you are at the point where you are ingesting about 1 gram in 24 hours, so each dose should equal 1/3 of a gram.

It takes the average person about five weeks to get to the point where they can ingest a gram per day. Once they reach this dosage they can continue at this rate until the cancer disappears. A gram is just slightly less than 1 milliliter.

Using this method allows the body to build up its tolerance slowly; in fact, I have many reports from people who took the oil treatment and never got "high". We all have different tolerances for any medication. Your size and body weight have little to do with your tolerance for hemp oil.

Be aware when commencing treatment with hemp oil that it will lower your blood pressure, so if you are currently taking blood pressure medication, it is very likely that you will no longer need it.

When people are taking the oil, I like to see them stay within their comfort zone, but the truth is, the faster you take the oil the better the chance of surviving. At the end of their treatment most people continue taking the oil but at a much reduced rate. Six to 12 grams a year would be a good maintenance dose. I do not like to see people overdosing on the oil, but an overdose does no harm. The main side effect of this medication is sleep and rest, which play an important role in the healing process. Usually, within an hour or so of taking a dose, the oil is telling you to lie down and relax. Don't fight the sleepy feeling, just lie down and go with it. Usually within a month, the daytime tiredness associated with this treatment fades away but the patient continues to sleep very well at night. The only time I would recommend that people start out with larger doses would be to get off addictive and dangerous pain medications. When people who are using such medications begin the oil treatment, they usually cut their pain medications in half. The object is to take enough oil to take care of the pain and to help the patient get off these dangerous pharmaceutical drugs. Taking the oil makes it much easier for the patient to get off these addictive chemicals.

I simply tell people the oil will do one of two things; it will either cure their cancer or in cases where it is too late to affect a cure, the oil will ease their way out and they can at least die with dignity. Hemp oil has a very high success rate in the treatment of cancer; unfortunately many people who come to me have been badly damaged by the medical system with their chemo and radiation, etc. The damage such treatments cause have a lasting effect and people who have suffered the effects of such treatments are the hardest to cure. It should also be mentioned that the oil rejuvenates vital organs like the pancreas. Many diabetics who have taken the oil find that after about six weeks on the oil that they no longer require insulin since their pancreas is again doing its job.

Properlymade hemp medicine is the greatest healer on this planet bar none. Once you experience what this medication can do you will understand why history and I call hemp medicine a cure-all.

Educating the world about cannabis extract medicine and continuing to treat patients is the way for the movement to succeed. To this end, The Comprehensive Report on Cannabis Extract Medicine has been released, which presents overwhelming evidence regarding the effectiveness of cannabis medicine.

The Path Forward for Cannabis Medicine

There is now enough information to convince anyone that cannabis extracts are remarkably effective against disease. With the Sanjay Gupta documentary, the world now knows that cannabis extracts have proven miraculously effective for Dravet syndrome. This case opens minds to other possibilities. With Charlotte Figi’s case as the primary catalyst, The Comprehensive Report on Cannabis Extract Medicine has been formed. You can read this to more intimately understand the different pieces of this movement, as well as share with others to educate them. Furthermore, by visiting the Media Bomb Campaign page, you can participate in coordinated efforts to share this information with influential people. The time for revolution has finally come, but it will take all of us working together to change the world in the most peaceful and beneficial way possible.

You can view the document for free at the first three links. The fourth link is on the Kindle and is priced at the lowest-possible price of $1.99. The document can also be downloaded from any of the first three links.

Colorado’s Marijuana Legalization Creates 10,000 New Jobs
Christina Sarich

May 23rd, 2014

Colorado’s marijuana legalization is quickly turning the state into one of the most prosperous places in the country. Not only has Colorado projected marijuana sales to be a billion dollar industry, but in January of 2014 alone, the state pulled in over $3.5 million in tax revenue from legal pot sales. If that trend continues, the state will enjoy an additional $40 million in tax revenue in the first year of legalization. But that’s not all – you know those dismal unemployment figures plaguing the nation? Not in states where pot is legal. Colorado is reporting 10,000 new jobs, all from the legalization of both recreational and medical marijuana.

A recent report by the Marijuana Industry Group indicates that since January, the state’s new-found recreational pot trade has created upwards of 10,000 new jobs, with 2,000 joining the green collar workforce just in the past few months – this doesn’t include jobs created by medical marijuana sales.

The state is now enjoying one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation – 6% – which is the lowest it has been since the recession started. So much for those old sayings about pot-heads being lazy. That’s an additional 10,000 people in a labor force out working, instead of collecting unemployment. That’s good for everyone.

What’s more – the marijuana industry only makes up 0.4 percent of Colorado’s 2.6 million jobs; all of the positions are new and did not exist a year ago. This means that legalization basically created an economy out of thin air. And even more enticing is this little fact – many of the jobs are paying higher than the national minimum wage.

Bud trimmers, for example, are being paid $15 an hour, while protestors have had to picket at McDonald’s headquarters because the company doesn’t want to raise their minimum pay to that amount. I’d say medicinal weed and hemp are far better for our economy than McD’s fries anyway.

There are currently 21 states where marijuana is now legal, as of late March when Utah passed a bill to legalize medical marijuana that utilizes extracts of THC at less than .03%. But there are 9 other states that have pending legislature to pass medical or recreational marijuana in 2014. I recently heard some rather detracting things about Rick Simpson and his recent behavior, but I wont repeat it because it's not my issue and I detest gossip.

check out http://www.darkcityradio.com/ for lots of shows on this subject <------<<<

I just stumbled upon a tweet (https://twitter.com/joerogan/status/470015535967506432),
this is what the tweet said:

Quote:
They're saying that legal weed is going to bring Colorado over $100,000,000.00 in tax revenue this year. Incredible.

and when no one is left on the planet - after FUK-U shima - but the people who use Earth's natural cure for cancer -cannabis eaters, perhaps we will understand why James/LTO suggests we re-establish our relationship with Earth - Nature provides - freely

interesting too to note Congress's reaction ... one day, they pass a bill that prohibits the DEA from busting MMJ distributors, and the very next day, they introduce a bill that will fine the DEA for NOT busting them

The legislature of Colorado seems stunned by the income MJ is generating in the state ... they are afraid to spend the money  and even though 15% of it was ear-marked specifically for education - they aren't passing any of it out ???

recession ? what recession, there is no recession in Colorado - we're booming thanks to Cannabis

Six Months of Legal Marijuana And Colorado Has More Cash And Less Crime
by Laura Pegram

on June 27, 2014

With the passage of Amendment 64 in November 2012, Colorado made history and became one of the first two states to approve legal regulation of the cultivation, manufacture and sale of marijuana for adults 21 and over. Colorado has become a proving ground to demonstrate the positive impacts of regulation instead of prohibition – and hopefully will promote similar efforts elsewhere.

Despite warnings from legalization opponents, Colorado looks pretty much the same as ever since regulation, if not better. Crime is down, the economy is sound, and there remains strong overall support for legalization throughout the state. Even the state’s Director of Marijuana Coordination was quick to note recently that “the sky hasn’t fallen” since the first retail shops opened on January 1st.

Though it is far too early to make any definitive declarations about emerging social trends, there are some promising indications that things are moving in the right direction here in Colorado:

According to Uniform Crime Reporting data for Denver, there has been a 10.1% decrease in overall crime from this time last year and a 5.2% drop in violent crime.
The state has garnered over 10 million in taxes from retail sales in the first 4 months. The first 40 million of this tax revenue is earmarked for public schools and infrastructure, as well as for youth educational campaigns about substance use.
There are renewed efforts to study the medical efficacy of marijuana within the state, making Colorado an epicenter for marijuana research.
The marijuana industry has developed quickly, generating thousands of new jobs. It is estimated there are currently about 10,000 people directly involved with this industry, with 1,000 to 2,000 gaining employment in the past few months alone.
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, who opposed Amendment 64, recently compared Colorado’s economy since legalization to that of other states by noting, “While the rest of the country’s economy is slowly picking back up, we’re thriving here in Colorado.” For example, the demand for commercial real estate has increased drastically, with houses in the state appreciating up to 8.7 percent in the past year alone.
The voters of Colorado retain an overall positive view of the regulated marijuana market, with 54% of Colorado voters still supporting marijuana legalization and regulation, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll.
By removing criminal penalties for certain marijuana-related offenses, thousands of individuals will avoid the collateral consequences associated with a criminal record. The state is estimated to potentially save $12-40 million over the span of a year simply by ending arrests for marijuana possession.

Despite a long history of government efforts to obstruct marijuana science, we now have decades of proof that the plant itself is far less harmful than its prohibition. Colorado and Washington have already changed the dialogue about drug prohibition throughout the U.S. and around the world.

another lie that has been associated with cannabis has just bitten the dust - seems that just about everything we were ever told about Pot was a lie ... makes you wonder why people are still going to the drs - and taking pharmaceuticals - at all - but I guess there are still some brain-washed individuals out there - who will believe anything that they are told, without question.
