educate yourself Shay ... you have been lied to about Cannabis by the Pharm cos ... please take a minute and listen to this and consider how many people have suffered (and died) needlessly because Cannibis has been demonized and you have been betrayed by your government and quit judging people us use it recreationally - because of the lies that you have been told - no one has ever died or ODed from using pot.... keep in mind that the LTO has advised us to REJECT NOTHING- experience gives you personal KNOWledge ... and we came here to gain and share knowledge of ALL THAT IS - that will assist our fellow man... certainly you can recognize our Creator's concern for our well being, when he created this plant that grows freely everywhere on the Planet to CURE our dis-ease, by the fact that our bodies have receptors for it, and produce it as well.

PS, when you grow your own (from seed) you are not contributing to the mafia, or getting some GMO ... and you will never need to depend on the Medical industry again - that has NEVER CURED anything and that kills more than it heals and needless keeps them dependent upon products they push that only mask the symptoms, which keeps them addicted to their useless, long-term, expensives "treatments" .

 You obviously ignored what was emphasized in the article I posted which is NOT from big pharma but from people who advocate medical marijuana and have obviously done a lot of research about it. Did you even read the article??? You need to pay attention. The people advocating medical marijuana are trying to change what whoever genetically modified the plant to produce more THC and less of the medicinal properties. This is because they are more interested in the medical aspect than getting high . Most people who use the drug don't really carie so much about its medicinal benefits than they do about freeing themselves from anxiety and/or boredom and because they become so easily addicted to the high THC content in the altered plant. Most marijauna sold in the states and Europe is GMO with he high THC content at the expense of the medicinal. And most people who use marijauna do it for the high including you before Lymes disease, so stop kidding yourself and trying to deceive the intelligent people on this forum. The medical marijauna people in this article are looking to bringing the plant back to its original balanced state with the medicinal components intact again. They also use the plant in different forms other than smoking it. The other forms don't make you high so much as the medicinal components are optimally used. You really don't pay attention and accuse me of such asinine things when for years I have never supported any institute or corporation or government whose only aim is to oppress and enslave humanity, through diversions, distractions, addictions and all. James has never advocated the use of drugs not when something as simple as the breath can be so powerful for all the techniques offered in the WMM.

A New Survey Shows Marijuana Is Replacing Some Over-The-Counter Medicines

While marijuana has, of late, become a political football, medical marijuana studies have started to pick up now that doctors can actually survey users. So far, it’s mostly been about attitudes and self-reports about usage, but those surveys have sparked an intriguing trend: People viewing marijuana as medicine, not a recreational drug. And now another survey has come through with some fascinating results.

Forbes has a good look at the survey, which studied use of cannabidiol, or CBD. CBD has no psychoactive effect (that is, you can’t get high off of it), but you find a lot of it in marijuana; up to 40% of the cannabinoids found in the plant are CBD. CBD appears to be less an active drug and more of an “enabler” for the body’s own cannabinoids, encouraging them to attach to receptors in the brain affecting inflammation and pain. As a result, nearly half of those surveyed had switch to using CBD instead of pain medication or over-the-counter drugs:

The most common reasons people used CBD were to treat insomnia, depression, anxiety and joint pain, according to Dr. Perry Solomon, the Chief Medical Officer of HelloMD. Forty-two percent of the CBD users said they had stopped using traditional medications like Tylenol pain relievers or prescription drugs like Vicodin and had switched to using cannabis instead. Eighty percent said that they found the products to be “very or extremely effective.” Only 3% or less found the product to be either ineffectual or only slightly effective.

It’s an interesting result not least because over-the-counter drugs like acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil) can have unpleasant, or even dangerous, side effects. Also intriguing is the mechanism; if CBD is simply encouraging the body to deal with its own problems, that may mark a different direction in medicine in general. But, for now, it appears that for most people, the most important aspect of medical marijuana is that it works. The proof is in the doped up pudding.

Here's an interesting vid about the legalization of weed and what one should be aware of. It won't be a bed of roses ... so to speak.
