A twelve-year-old boy by the name of Terran Kahn is the centerpiece of this story. He is from a Baluchian tribe in northeastern Iran. Through a series of amazing events, he becomes identified as being in possession of a very unusual intelligence—“one-in-a trillion.” The story takes place about twenty years in our future, shortly after a global event called Sunrot.
